Continental Airlines offers flat-bed seats to BusinessFirst passengers on all 757-200 flights

Passengers flying with Continental can sleep easy, after the announcement that all the airline's flights on Boeing 757-200 aircraft now benefit from new flat-bed seats in the BusinessFirst cabins. This is the second phase of Continental Airlines' plan to install totally flat, bed seats throughout its international fleet of carriers.

The changes have been made to all 41 of the airline's Boeing 757-200 aircraft, which are principally used on New York to Europe routes. Premium cabin customers can now enjoy flat-bed seats which recline to the completely flat position, along with headset, power ports, and USB plugs. Each seat offers a 15.4-inch video screen, with audio and video on-demand; but for even greater choice, the aircraft also feature iPod connectivity, enabling customers to view their own music and video collections in-flight.

Continental's partner airline, United, has also fitted flat-bed seats in its superior cabins on international Boeing 767-300 and 747-400 aircraft. Mark Bergsrud, the Senior Vice President of Marketing, said: “With reconfigurations completed on 116 aircraft, United and Continental together offer more flat-bed premium cabin seats than any other U.S. airline. The flat-bed seats and advanced audio/video on-demand offer our customers an unmatched on board experience."

What's more, premium and BusinessFirst passengers will not be the only ones to benefit from changes on board. Continental Airlines passengers will also see Economy Plus seating on all of the company’s aircraft, so customers can appreciate the most legroom in economy cabins of any other airline.
