New York A Popular Choice for Half Term Getaways
It has been revealed that a number of locations including the Middle East, North America and the Caribbean are set to be popular holiday destinations for British individuals heading away this October half term. With the week's break in the school term, many families will take advantage of the days to enjoy a group trip abroad.
Looking at the demand for its flights, British Airways (BA) said that the Caribbean continued to be "a hit with families", with St Lucia and Barbados in particular noting significant rises in interest. Meanwhile, the USA's New York remained the top city to explore for British holidaymakers, with visitors to the Big Apple having their last chance to visit the Statue of Liberty on her 125th anniversary before the landmark closes for year long renovations. With their collaboration with American Airlines and Iberia, BA now offer 17 flights from London every day, offering a huge range of choice for those wanting to cross the pond to one of the world's most famous city.
Dubai is also keeping up with tourist demand, with those travelling to the Middle East enjoying great weather and fantastic retail opportunities in this popular city. And with half term only weeks away, British individuals are set to flock abroad.
