New Hilton for Los Angeles Hotspot
It has been confirmed by Hilton Hotels that they are to open a new DoubleTree property in downtown Los Angeles. Currently a Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens, the hotel will undergo a huge renovation project before opening for guests in spring 2012.
Los Angeles is a huge tourist destination for British travellers, with holidaymakers wanting to explore the sights for which Los Angeles and Hollywood is famous for, around the world. With Hilton's DoubleTree being such a huge and international brand, many guests prefer to stay with the group because they know that the highest quality of service will be on offer. And with the new property becoming Hilton's largest hotel catering to the downtown district, demand is set to be strong.
Located within minutes of Olvera Street, the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, the DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown will offer room for 650 guests in addition to a fitness centre, half an acre of rooftop garden and business facilities. Rim Hospitality's Mark Burden, the chief executive behind the new hotel renovation, revealed "We are thrilled to bring the DoubleTree by Hilton brand to downtown Los Angeles. This new agreement with an outstanding hotel ownership will allow us to create an outstanding hotel to meet, work or play in one of downtown's most ideal locations."
