World Class Golf in Las Vegas

LAS, Las VegasThe PGA Tour comes to an exclusive course in Las Vegas every October

Every October, Las Vegas is the destination of the autumn series of the PGA Tour, one of professional golf's leading competitions. The PGA Tour is used as a way for celebrities to raise money for their favourite charities and the Las Vegas event has been hosted by pop star Justin Timberlake since 2008 in aid of Shriners Hospitals for children. So, expect to see a number of celebrities among the spectators. More than anything, however, this is a fabulous opportunity to see world class golf being played on an exciting and visually stunning course that is not normally open to the public as it is located within the exclusive gates of the TPC in Summerlin, a private gated community and club. The course's big claim to fame is that it is where Tiger Woods enjoyed his first professional victory and it is easy to see how he might have been inspired.

The course was designed by Bobby Weed and skilfully weaves traditional course design with the local desert landscape. The par-72 championship course is truly beautiful, winding its way through natural canyons among mesquite and pine trees with numerous water features breaking up the swathes of green. It has been called 'One of America's Best Courses' by Golf Digest and it is easy to see why. With regular flights from Heathrow with BA Club Class or from Gatwick with Virgin Upper Class, you can be at the side of the green watching golf's superstars teeing off in just over ten hours.
