The Baby Expo Comes to Johannesburg Twice a Year
South Africa’s largest baby exhibition attracts thousands each year.Johannesburg is well known for its shopping opportunities and its cultural wonders, and offers everything from arts and crafts to exciting performance events; however, one of the most popular annual events the city hosts is the Johannesburg Baby Expo. This exciting blend of entertainment for families with young children and family-friendly products on display has grown to be so popular that the event now has three different dates in South Africa’s three largest cities annually.
The Baby Expo is an exciting opportunity for parents to come together and learn about the newest developments in baby products and the latest research by experts in the fields of childrearing and development, and enjoy fun-filled entertainment such as Barney and Friends. All totalled, last year the Baby Expo attracted over 105,000 visitors to its three showings, making it one of the biggest expositions of its kind in Africa.
The Baby Expo comes to Johannesburg twice a year, in May and November, and brings with it a host of exciting activities and exhibits for parents and soon-to-be mothers and fathers. Some of the most popular features of the event are the hundreds of exhibits of baby products, world-renowned experts in the fields of parenting being on hand for questions and workshops, a play area for the little ones, a 'Preggy Lounge' where young mothers may enter a sweepstakes to win an all-expenses paid pregnancy, and a baby clinic. There are also plenty of breastfeeding lounges, nappy changing stations and quiet areas where parents can bring their little ones throughout the day.
