The annual Cape Town Festival showcases South African and international music, performing arts, and visual and spoken word arts. Most of the events are free and performances range from modern to the classics.
Pet lovers will revel in the World of Dogs, Cats and Pets Exhibition held annually in November. It attracts professional breeders and pet lovers, and the exhibition is divided into areas designed to entertain and inform visitors. Children will enjoy the 'canine good citizen' and agility and obedience sections.
Children will also enjoy the Two Oceans Aquarium where they will discover 300 marine species including fish, eels, turtles and several species of shark, as well as be wowed by penguins.
Cape Town is a shopper's paradise and at night travellers can relax with food and drink at hundreds of bars and restaurants while they watch the sun go down over the ocean.
