Isle of Man plays host to motorcycle enthusiasts
The Isle of Man draws many visitors for the innovative annual motorcycle races.The annual TT races, which are held at the beginning of June on public roads around the Isle of Man, are expected to draw several thousand excited spectators, as the races maintain their proud history and challenge the riders that come to test their skills on the island.
Each year the event provides both riders and spectators with some unique challenges, including the Snaefell Mountain Course, which makes use of the roads around the island’s only mountain and includes the amazing Manx scenery as a backdrop to the racing circuit. More recently, the TT races have also introduced a zero emissions motorcycle race, which is helping to maintain the reputation of the Isle of Man TT races as a groundbreaking motorcycling race meet.
Travel to the Isle of Man to attend the TT races does not need to be so challenging, with visitors travelling from or through the south of England, being able to choose the air route to the Isle of Man from London Gatwick airport, which puts the TT races within easy reach of the UK capital.
The Isle of Man TT races have a proud motor racing history, having been part of the Motorcycle Grand Prix World Championship for many years, as well as part of the TT Formula 1 Championship, and with the spectacular scenery and modern innovations, this looks set to continue.
