As you journey down the Strip you will be amazed at the illuminated spectacle, with the pyramid-shaped Luxor, an Eiffel Tower and a 150-foot Statue of Liberty being just a taster of the skyline on offer. 24-hour casinos, crazy nightlife, awesome hotels, and even wedding chapels, everything in Vegas exudes energy and draws you in. Las Vegas is also in a superb location for visiting some of the best natural scenery in the United States, most notably the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam. If you want a rest from the Strip, an afternoon exploring the scenes is a perfect choice.
Luckily, Las Vegas has some very well established tour companies that will take you on the tour of your life. For adrenaline junkies, why not take a helicopter or plane ride over the dramatic Grand Canyon, measuring one mile deep and an astounding 277 miles long. Some tours will head to the West Rim of the canyon for a walk on the Skywalk glass bridge, extending 70 feet from the rim and 4,770 feet above the ground.
Or head out in a deluxe coach ride to the Hoover Dam, which stands 725 feet above the Colorado River.
Getting from London Gatwick to Las Vegas is ultra-easy, with Virgin Atlantic running daily direct flights. The airport is just three miles from the Las Vegas Strip, where the majority of the hotels are located.
