Since 1986, the Romaeuropa Festival has been the most significant project of Fondazione Romaeuropa, hosting creations by international leading artists alongside breakthrough works of the yet undiscovered ones. It spans dance, theatre and live performance events set in both iconic (Teatro Olimpico, Auditorium Parco della Musica and Conciliazione) and thrillingly novel settings.
The fiesta lasts most of the autumn, having attracted many international names, and is now known as one of the biggest, top quality art events in the world. The featured art is mostly contemporary, giving Rome a modern twist; the audience can feast their eyes upon new trends in performing theatre as well as multimedia.
Famous artists from all over the world, such as Michail Baryšnikov, Tom Waits and Peter Brook have graced Romanoeuropa, accompanied by prestigious groups such as the Ballet National de Marseille, the Berlin Philharmonic and Royal Academy of Music.
