Also performing regular musical productions is the Theatre Under the Stars at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Houston.
If you appreciate museums and architecture, why not kill two birds with one stone by visiting The 1940 Air Terminal Museum? It is a fine example of art deco architecture, the airport serving Houston during the golden age of flight, and exhibits include memorabilia of the period plus uniforms, maps and weather charts. The Museum of Fine Arts opens daily. It is the largest museum in the south west and offers many daily activities from tours, films and programmes for the family.
Children will delight in the Downtown Aquarium particularly riding the Shark Voyage Train where they can safely view the shark tank. The aquarium also exhibits a sunken galleon, a Louisiana swamp and a rainforest where children and adults can learn about different ecosystems. There really is so much to do in Houston.
