The town dates back to the 13th century B.C. when it was originally known as Kition. It is a place that is often overlooked by those seeking somewhere to visit however, upon closer inspection holidaymakers will be delighted with their choice when they arrive in Larnaca.
This town of living history has a lot of character with its whitewashed houses, Turkish Quarter, and many craft shops. The Finikoudes Promenade is a palm tree-lined street with bustling shops and stores.
