Going on holiday to the city is always full of surprises and adventure as visitors get to marvel at the towering skyscrapers that are displayed all around the city.
The best time for travelling to Seoul from London Heathrow is during autumn and spring since these are the times when the temperatures are comfortable and inviting. Korean Air and Asiana airlines fly two times per day to the city. Other airlines that operate in this route include Cathay Pacific, Air France, KLM and Qatar Airways.
The Insadong is one of the most inviting and popular tourist attractions as it is filled with art galleries, ancient teahouses, antique shops, several high profile restaurants as well as bookshops. Several recreation parks are located alongside the Han River and are popular spots for locals and tourists.
The city has several festivals starting with the Lunar New Year celebrations that bring not only the city but the country to a standstill. The Feast of the Lanterns takes place in April and during this time the residents take part in parades to celebrate Buddha’s birthday. The month of June welcomes the Prehistoric Cultural Festival that highlights the rich Korean culture and is marked with fireworks display and plenty of food.
The city hosts the annual International marathon in March, which attracts tens of thousands of participants who take part in the 10km, half course and full course. Another popular marathon is the Hi Seoul Marathon held in October.
