The city hosts the annual PBZ ATB Zagreb Indoors, a tennis championships event that is held each January and is attended some of the best tennis players in the world. In April the city residents celebrate St Mark’s Festival that is hosted by the city’s St Mark church that features local and international chamber orchestras and soloists.
The International Folklore festival is held in July and it showcases several music concerts, exhibitions, presentations and performances by folklore groups. Another popular event is the Festival of New Circus that is held in October and features local participants as well as those from USA, Germany, France, Canada and UK. It showcases a combination of circus, dance, theatre and music.
