Air Display in Jersey remains free to watch
The spectacular Jersey air show is free for spectators on the island. The Jersey air show, in the Channel Islands, has been a rising star in the air display programme in recent years, and the organisers of the air show remain clear that the event will remain free to watch.
The air show takes place against the magnificent natural surroundings of the Channel Island of Jersey, a few miles off the coast of France, and the natural features of the island give an incredible amphitheatre-like background to the event, with a good many locations providing spectacular views of the air show highlights, which are provided by aircraft and air crews from several countries around the world.
As well as having international participants, the Jersey air show has a good number of regular international spectators, both among the followers of air displays in various locations and among the inhabitants and summer visitors on the island of Jersey. Reaching Jersey for the air show is possible thanks to air routes such as the one to Jersey from London Luton airport, meaning that visitors from the London area of the United Kingdom have good access to one of the most spectacular air displays on the European calendar.
Although the air show is free to watch, sponsorship allows the event to contribute to forces charities in the United Kingdom, and the spectacle has become a significant part of Battle of Britain Week, in September each year.
