The Cyprus International Film Festival is the first international film festival to concentrate on talented new filmmakers across the spectrum of feature films, music videos, animation, short films and video art. The filmmakers get the chance to present their work to an internationally acclaimed jury from actors, directors and film industry professionals.
The festival awards Golden Aphrodites for films, technical services and equipment. One of the conditions of the awards is that the winners are supposed to make their next film in Cyprus.
The Cyprus International Film Festival has been held every year since 2006 on the beautiful island destination in the Mediterranean. It is the most glamorous event in the area with its red carpet/black tie events.
