Menorca is the second largest of the Balearic islands but probably the most relaxed. With over 100 beaches and excellent weather Menorca is the ideal place to get away from it all. Attractions:
Churches in old town of Mahon, many beaches and watersports, Aqua park in Cala Forcat, horse riding, diving

Shopping:
There are markets at Mahon, Ciutadella, Es Castell, Alaio and Ferreries selling local produce and crafts, leather goods and souvenirs.

Excursions:
Bird watching, isolated coves, golf, boat trips, and white-washed inland towns. Boat trips on glass bottom catarmaran and carbaret with Sangria evenings.

Family:
Families are particularly welcome in Menorca as it is safe, clean and peaceful in the evenings.

Getting Around:
Buses are good from June to September at other times they are not so reliable. Local taxis are plentiful and car hire can be arranged and is recommended
