Rotorua,
New Zealand, plays host to a festival at the end of June which sees musical groups from all over the world participate.
Rhapsody Rotorua, which takes place between June 27th and July 2nd, may be of interest to those who catch a
flight to New Zealand this summer.
According to the
New Zealand Tourist Board it is "the foremost International Schools Music Festival in New Zealand" and consists of hundreds of participants.
Attending the event will be concert bands, orchestras, choirs and ensembles.
These groups will cover a variety of music, including percussion, jazz, guitar and tin whistlers.
Those travellers
flying to New Zealand will be able to witness the groups mixing together, expanding their musical repertoires and advanced students can perform with the Rodger Fox Big Band.
On visiting Rotorua, people may want to go and see the 11 major lakes across the area, many of which are steeped in Maori legend and history.
