The Venetian Hotel,
Las Vegas, will provide mobile versions of blackjack, roulette, various poker games and slot machines following a trial later this year.
Las Vegas Sands, which runs the hotel's casino, will introduce the games on hand-held devices, provided by Cantor G & W (Nevada), reports the Associated Press.
The Nevada Gaming Commission's regulatory approval, given in March, means Las Vegas Sands are able to proceed with this development.
Those planning to take a
flight to Las Vegas in the near future, may be interested to know that the company is also going to include the devices in a $1.8 billion resort to be built next door to the Venetian next year.
Joe Asher, managing director of Cantor, said that the deal means his company are Las Vegas Sands' exclusive mobile gambling provider, but are still able to organise deals elsewhere.
This is the first time a casino has introduced mobile gambling devices in casinos.
The Las Vegas-based corporation has also shown interest in building the UK's first super-casino, which will start development within the next year.
