Take a
flight to Singapore this September for the city's inaugural biennale of contemporary art and you too could play a part in the international discussion on belief.
Opening on September 4th, the city-wide art event featuring over 80 artists and art collectives from more than 35 countries around the world will run until November 12th.
Works on the theme of 'belief' will be exhibited at various cultural and religious venues around the city, from the City Hall and Sculpture Square to the Sri Krishnan temple and the Masjud Sultan mosque, in an attempt to capture the essence of the city, where conflicting beliefs seemingly co-exist alongside each other.
Visitors to
Singapore in September can be the first to experience this unique cultural event and explore ideas of the personal and public, through architecture, biotechnology, drawing, installation, new media, painting, performance, photography, sculpture, sound projects and video.
The biennale is also a key part of Singapore 2006: Global City, World of Opportunities.
