Travellers and seafood lovers taking a
flight to Los Angeles this September should pay a visit to the world's largest lobster event at the Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival.
Held from September 15th to 17th, Californian holidaymakers can enjoy the festival fun as the locals take to the streets and cook up a feast with the 13 tonnes of fresh lobster flown in from the east coast state of Maine.
This year visitors to the
Los Angeles festival can see the world's largest lobster cooker in action at the San Pedro Fish Market and then chow-down on some fresh shellfish with baked potatoes and roast corn.
There is also the opportunity to see various musical performers and entertainers around the port and witness the rather intriguing Lobsterdog Pet Parade, which takes place on September 16 and involves local pet owners adorning their dogs with a variety lobster themed costumes and leading them through the streets.
For more information visit the
Lobster Festival website.
