Dublin, with its long and rich literary history, is not just a destination for drinking and partying.
Take a trip to the capital of the Emerald Isle between September 29th and October 14th and you could catch some cutting edge theatrics at the Dublin Theatre Festival 2006.
Showcasing the best of Irish writing, direction and performance, the festivities take place at various locations around the city including the Samuel Beckett Theatre, the Olympia and the Projects Arts Centre.
One new production which has so far been announced for the 2006 festival is a collaboration between Michael West and The Corn Exchange, called Everyday, which will be premiering on October 10th.
Regarded as one of the oldest established specialist theatre festivals in Europe, the Dublin Theatre Festival is an excellent opportunity to see the works of leading Irish writers alongside some top international productions.
