The Channel Islands, although part of the British Isles, are unique environments for food and culture, with influences from nearby France and the sea that surrounds them.
Fly to Guernsey in October and you could sample a flavour of some of the islands' renowned cuisine as the annual TennerFest returns for its ninth year.
Running from October 1st until November 12th the Tennerfest is a celebration of local produce, with numerous establishments across all of the Channel Islands offering various menus throughout the month from £10 per head.
Travellers can also take advantage of various ferry and flight deals which run throughout the TennerFest, travelling between
Guernsey and the other Channel Islands.
Specialities of
Guernsey include a traditional apple cake called Gache Melee, plentiful seafood, home-grown vegetables and local cider.
