US Airways has announced the launch of a new flight service between Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport in Florida.
The daily service will be operated by Republic Airways, an express carrier.
The flight departs from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport at 10:00 local time, arriving in Florida at 12:20.
A return service departs at 12:55 local time, touching down in Washington at 15:20.
"Today, west-central
Florida has a great new air travel option into our nation's capital. Again, we are grateful for the support this service received from both communities," said C A Howlett, senior vice president of public affairs for US Airways.
Fredrick J Piccolo, Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport's president and chief executive officer, added: "We are very pleased with our growing partnership with US Airways and look forward to their continued success at Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport."
The new flight is the only non-stop pairing between Reagan and Sarasota/Bradenton.
