Travellers fond of a spot of retail therapy will be in their element at this year's Shopping Festival in
Dubai.
Taking place between December 20th and February 2nd, the event tempts visitors to
Dubai to a host of shops, shows and markets where items are heavily reduced to appeal to the thriftiest of bargain hunters.
Native products such as exotic rugs and spices nestle alongside more familiar fare including clothes, jewellery, electrical items and cosmetics, carrying both designer and less well-known labels.
As well as the main shopping event, visitors can also enjoy a host of side events, including fashion shows, theatre performances, fireworks displays, competitions, film festivals and more, in addition to experiencing the city's numerous restaurants and bars.
And with Dubai International airport offering a round-the-clock duty-free shopping experience, it is probably no surprise that over two million people flock to
Dubai for the Shopping Festival every year.
