Icelandair has announced the addition of a new city to its roster of flights to
Canada.
Between May 17th and September 3rd, the Icelandic carrier will fly to Halifax in Nova Scotia with connections available from Glasgow and Manchester.
"The Halifax operations will provide an excellent opportunity to service the growing number of Icelandic companies in Canada and for Atlantic Canada residents to visit Iceland, our unique and spectacular home country, on the way to some of our many destinations in Europe," commented Gunnar Eklund, general manager of the Americas for
Icelandair.
New flights were also announced by the airline to
Bergen in
Norway and Gothenburg in
Sweden, adding to current Scandinavian destinations
Copenhagen, Helsinki,
Oslo and
Stockholm.
Last month, Icelandair announced that it would be allowing its Customer Club members to redeem points at six Radisson Edwardian hotels in central London and at Heathrow Airport.
