Singapore Airlines voted best in the world
Singapore Airlines has been voted the best overall airline in the world by readers of a popular business travel publication.

The airline also won the best international airline, best economy class and best business class menu awards in Business Traveler's 2006 Readers' Choice Best in Business Travel Survey.

Other winners included Emirates for the best first-class cabin in the world and Delta Air Lines for best airport lounge.

Singapore Changi International Airport scooped the title of best worldwide airport, while Denver International was voted the best airport in North America.

"Logging an average 67 nights on the road and more than six million round-trip flights a year, our readers know the hotels, airlines and travel products that best meet their needs," commented Rebecca Bishop, publisher for Business Traveler magazine.

The survey is currently in its 18th year and collects votes from an estimated 100,000 Business Traveler subscribers.
