Dance fans heading to
South Africa next year might want to attend the FNB Dance Umbrella festival in
Johannesburg.
This acclaimed event sees numerous youth and community groups, choreographers and professionals convene at the Wits Theatre and Dance Factory between February 24th and March 17th for a series of groundbreaking performances.
The focus is very much on contemporary forms of dance and aims to showcase the work of some of the most talented young performers in
South Africa.
Previous visiting artists have included Akram Khan and Nicole Seiler, with past festivals also giving dance companies the chance to present new work for the first time.
Visitors to
South Africa can also take advantage of being in a desirable holiday destination by taking in the superb sights and sounds of
Johannesburg and the surrounding regions between performances.
For more information, check out the
FNB Dance Umbrella website.
