Fly to
Amsterdam an catch the country's largest performing arts festival, as the Holland Festival takes place for three weeks in May.
Running from May 29th, the festival draws upon varied disciplines, including theatre, film, visual arts, dance, music and opera, with tickets now available for the "spectacular" opening, The House of The Dead.
The festival's organisers state that both fans of the different genres and those who have not been to this type of event before will enjoy the experience.
"A real earful, not to mention a feast for the eyes. And then something extra: EarFuel and EyeFuel. The concept: Lextras, discoveries, after shows ... whatever you do, don’t believe your own eyes or ears," states the festival website.
Art lovers may also wish to take time while in
Amsterdam to visit the Van Gogh Museum, which claims to house the world's largest collection of the artist's works.
