New services from CityJet and Air France
CityJet and Air France have unveiled new routes from London City Airport to a range of destinations.
The move, which will take effect on March 26th 2007, will see flights added to Geneva, Madrid, Milan Linate, Nice and Zurich, and will complement the Air France services currently operating.
CityJet for Air France is designed to be a local service with reduced check-in times, with ten minutes cited as the average time at London City Airport.
Etienne Rachou, Air France senior vice president of Europe and North Africa, comments: "We are providing our business clientele with a hitherto unknown service, access to a network straight from the heart of London with all the benefits and services the Air France Group has to offer.
The official added that this would serve to strengthen Air France's position in the market.
Air France recently released details of "excellent" performance in the first half of the financial year, with operating income rising by 30.5 per cent.
