Scandinavian Airlines has announced that it is to launch new flights from
Glasgow and
Bristol to
Stockholm later this year.
The carrier said that it will begin services from Glasgow in April and from Bristol in June as part of an effort to significantly expand its European routes.
Both flights will operate twice a week, with the Bristol service initially running purely as a summer scheme.
The airline also announced the launch of eight other new services to various European destinations from Stockholm, all set to begin between February and July.
"We are going on the offensive. The opening of ten new destinations this spring is the biggest network expansion we have had for over two decades," commented Susanne Dahlberg, commercial director for
Scandinavian Airlines.
The other new destinations announced by
Scandinavian Airlines include
Munich,
Vienna,
Beijing and
Reykjavik, with varying frequencies and schedules.
