Holidaymakers travelling to
Vienna this spring will be in for a treat, as one of the city's biggest events takes place throughout May and June.
The Vienna Festival sprawls from May 11th to June 19th and involves a host of performances from bands, artists and theatre companies from around the world.
Taking place in multiple venues across
Vienna, the festival kicks off with a massive free concert in Rathausplatz square.
Big events this year include a new version of the From The House Of The Dead opera, the Imaginary Balkan boat party and the 33rd International Music Festival.
With performers hailing from a selection of countries as diverse as
Japan,
New Zealand,
Denmark,
Canada,
Israel and
South Korea, visitors to
Vienna will be able to enjoy a wide range of eye-opening concerts and plays that they are unlikely to forget.
