Hop on a flight to
New York and you could catch some of the most cutting-edge design, as the Sculpture Objects and Functional Art show will be taking place in Manhattan.
Running from June 1st to 3rd, this year will be extra special for organisers as it marks the tenth anniversary of the event, which aims to showcase more than 50 premier galleries.
Germany's Amsterdam-based artist Iris Eichenberg will be in attendance with her art which dissolves the boundaries between sculpture and jewellery.
Additionally, visitors to the
New York event may fall in love with the pieces of Jon Eric Riis, whose modern-day tapestries act as a fusion of magnificent craftsmanship and political critique, broaching subject matters such as war through the medium of weaving.
SOFA claims to "present masterworks bridging the worlds of design, decorative and fine arts, showcasing the rich visual heritage of the decorative arts alongside new, innovative expressions", which may delight art fans wishing to combine culture with their
New York break.
