While Tennessee,
USA is steeped in the history and traditions of its famous musical past, in recent years the state's annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival has established itself as a popular event with music fans.
First held in 2002, the festival takes place between June 14th and 17th on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, drawing in the crowds and the world's leading performers and artists.
Visitors to this year's event can take in the sounds of a diverse range of bands and performers, including Kings of Leon, The White Stripes, Damien Rice, Lilly Allen and The Police.
The festival grounds also boast arcade games, a cinema, a comedy club, a beer festival and a "silent" disco to ensure that those making the trip have plenty to do over the four days.
While in Tennessee, music fans can take a guided tour of Sun Studio in Memphis, said to be the "birthplace of rock 'n' roll", while those looking to enjoy the great outdoors can experience the "thundering" Ruby Falls in Chattanooga.
