Global passenger demand for flights is expected to grow by 4.2 per cent in June compared with last year, according to new figures.
Research from air traffic data provider Air4Casts also shows that demand for international flights from the UK will soar by 3.6 per cent, with the figure for the next quarter predicted to be 3.1 per cent.
The firm also says that statistics for March and April indicate that passenger demand is not yet set to slow, with growth for last month thought to be 4.3 per cent.
In its report, Air4Casts comments: "The demand for air travel continues strong… as the trend data for the March actuals does not suggest any slowing in the pace of the passenger advance."
Earlier this week, research from Airports Council International revealed that European passenger traffic grew by 9.6 per cent in March compared with the same time last year.
