Manchester Airport has named
American Airlines the most punctual of its airlines during the winter.
The airport also said that Euromanx was the most punctual domestic carrier, with
Singapore Airlines and
Etihad Airways also placing highly in the overall table.
This naming of on-time airlines is part of a scheme by
Manchester Airport to help encourage carriers to make sure they take off during their allocated slots. The top three airlines all received a certificate to mark their success.
"We are really pleased that our top-performing airlines are achieving such consistently high standards," commented Tim McDermott, director of aviation development at Manchester Airport.
Earlier this month, the airport indicated that once it has launched its new summer routes it will serve more destinations than any other airport in the UK, flying to about 225 locations across the globe in total after introducing 24 routes in the next few months.
