Virgin Atlantic has reopened its Clubhouse facility at
Narita Airport in
Japan, unveiling a number of extra features in the process.
The Clubhouse now comprises one large space with closed-off areas to provide privacy, allowing more passengers to be seated. In addition, two new sunken
lounges offer banquet seating, while a raised sun deck provides room for those who want to see the planes and take advantage of the natural light.
For business travellers, there is now a dedicated area with computers, Wi-Fi and landlines for international and business calls, as well as charging facilities for mobile phones and other devices.
Other new features include a self-service snack machine and an electronic guest entry system to allow hosts to inform passengers of their flight status.
"Our passengers need a lounge that is going to work perfectly and let them get their business needs out of the way quickly and efficiently, but also allow them to be able to relax and soak up some of the unique Virgin atmosphere that is offered in our stylish Narita Clubhouse," commented Paul Sands,
Virgin Atlantic country manager for Japan.
Narita Airport is the main international hub for the
Tokyo, Chiba, Kanagawa and Saitama prefectures in the Greater Tokyo region.
