London City Airport has announced the launch of a shuttle service to help passengers get to hotels in the Docklands from the hub, with fares starting from £1.
Beginning on October 8th, the service will run every 30 minutes, with the hours of operation being from 06:00 to 22:00 BST between Monday and Friday, 06:00 to 13:00 BST on Saturday and 12:30 to 22:00 BST on Sunday.
The hotels participating in the service include those run by Travelodge, Etap, Travel Inn, Ramada, Sunborn Yacht, Ibis, Novotel, Crown Plaza, Holiday Inn Express, Travel Inn Canary Wharf, Four Seasons, Marriott West India Quay, Radisson Edwardian and the Hilton.
"With the vast network of hotels located in the Docklands and an ever-increasing demand from business travellers, London City Airport's shuttle service complements the fast and convenient Docklands Light Railway service that transfers passengers to Canary Wharf in only 15 minutes," the airport said in a statement.
Earlier this year, London City Airport announced that it had chosen the Caffe Nero chain of coffee shops to set up retail facilities in the
hub, with the full opening taking place this month.
