Czech Airlines has announced that it is to pull its route between
Prague and
Stansted Airport from the end of October.
However, the carrier will still run the usual 18
Prague services a week to and from
Heathrow Airport "in line with the airline's strategy of offering flights to the major airports", it confirmed.
The move comes as part of a wider shake-up of the airline's winter timetable, which will see it increase the number of flights it operates between Prague and destinations such as
Madrid,
Amsterdam,
Brussels and
Moscow.
Overall, the airline is set to operate almost 31,000 flights to 108 destinations between October 28th and March 29th, it said.
Meanwhile, one extra weekly flight will be added between
Manchester Airport and
Prague from March 2008.
Earlier this year,
Czech Airlines announced the extension of its
internet check-in service to 26 extra European cities, including
London and Manchester.
