Silverjet: Positive response to Dubai route

The announcement of a new route between London and Dubai has received an "exceptionally positive" response, according to Silverjet.

Earlier this year, the premium-only carrier revealed that it would be launching daily business class flights to Dubai from Luton Airport on November 19th.

Since then, advance bookings and industry reactions to the service in the UK and the United Arab Emirates have been encouraging, the airline said.

"Dubai has truly placed itself at the centre of the world's aviation sector and we believe Silverjet's offering can contribute significantly to that ongoing success story," commented Katherine Gershon, director of sales and marketing for Silverjet.

The carrier recently celebrated the receipt of two awards for its services - the Best Airline 2007 accolade at the Sunday Times Travel Magazine Experts Awards 2007 and the Best Executive Transport prize in Esquire's 2007 Man At The Top Awards.
