A twice-weekly service between
Bristol Airport and
Stockholm will be relaunched next summer, it has been announced.
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) said that the route will begin on June 27th 2008 and will take off from Bristol on Mondays and Fridays at 22:55 BST.
The flights proved particularly popular in summer 2007 and as a result the carrier said it will bring the service to the south-west of England again next year.
"During 2007 we saw large numbers of leisure and business travellers taking advantage of the new Swedish route and flying to this beautiful capital city for business trips, weekend escapes and city breaks," explained Lars Ove-Filipson, UK and Ireland general manager at
SAS.
The announcement comes shortly after the carrier said it will launch new
flights to Oslo from Bristol in April 2008.
Earlier this month, SAS revealed that it is introducing a new system through which passengers from the UK can print out their own boarding passes when checking in
online.
