Brits looking to welcome the spring season in style might want to catch a
flight to Frankfurt and visit the city's annual spring fair.
Known as Dippemess, the event is set to take place between March 14th and April 6th this year at the Frankfurt Fairground and is a traditional folk festival that dates back to the 14th century, when it was a mere medieval market.
As many as 2.5 million people now visit the fair every year to indulge in a variety of rides and fairground games, as well as to undertake a spot of shopping at its various market stalls.
Dippemess also provides a superb opportunity to sample some traditional German snacks and drinks. Meanwhile, thrills for all can be had at the event's regular firework displays, making this fair the most popular Easter attraction in the country.
Visitors intending to see some of the other attractions that
Frankfurt holds could also take in the sights of the Kaiserdom cathedral, the huge Main Tower and the Modern Art Museum.
Take a look at the
official Frankfurt tourism website for more information.
