Top romantic hotels revealed
Some of the world's most romantic hotels are located in regions as diverse as Mexico, Vietnam and Hawaii, according to one website.

Luxury travel blog Globorati says that its top pick for lodgings for lovestruck couples is the Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos, Mexico.

The hotel has its very own director of romance and offers activities such as a "sea and stars massage for two" and "cinema on the beach for two", as well as providing a scheme through which men can learn how to cook up a romantic meal for their loved ones.

Other romantic hotels include L'Hotel in Paris, home to a private steam room and a Roman bath, the Nam Hai in Hoi An, Vietnam, which comprises private villas with a butler service and a special scented "love bath", and the Mykonos Grand in Mykonos, Greece.

Meanwhile, the Fairmont Orchid in Big Island, Hawaii, the Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire and the Rania Experience in the Maldives were also cited as being perfect for lovers.

A recent survey by alpharooms.com found that 56 per cent of Britons would most like to go away for a special weekend break for Valentine's Day.
