Officials at
Glasgow Airport have opened a new drop-off and pick-up zone for drivers.
The free covered facility is located opposite the main terminal on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park and will allow drivers to drop off and pick up passengers close to the main building.
Motorists will be able to stay for free for up to ten minutes, with those needing to stay for longer required to use the other car parks.
The facility was built to enhance access to the airport for passengers following last year's failed terrorist attack.
"We have listened carefully to feedback from our passengers over the last few weeks and months, and we have taken their views on board during our redesign of our vehicle access arrangements," commented Gordon Dewar, managing director of Glasgow Airport.
The airport revealed in January that it is to invest nearly £25 million in terminal improvements over the course of 2008.
