British Airways and airport operator BAA have announced that they are to set in motion further
long-haul flight moves from Terminal 4 to Terminal 5 at
Heathrow Airport.
The two organisations had previously announced that several flights will make the shift on June 5th.
Now more services will be moved in two phases, with the first taking place on September 17th and the second towards the end of October.
"Terminal 5 is working well and this phased move has been planned in the interests of our passengers and the smooth operation of Heathrow over the busy summer period," British Airways and BAA said in a statement.
Meanwhile, officials at Heathrow Airport have announced that a planned demonstration at the hub is likely to disrupt certain local transport services on May 31st, with passengers advised to allow extra time for their journey to the airport.
