Almost half of those taking business class flights want to be able to access Wi-Fi internet while in the air.
This is according to a new survey from Barclaycard Business, which also discovered that two-thirds of 18 to 30-year-olds want
inflight Wi-Fi.
About 46 per cent of those surveyed said they would like to be able to use their mobile phones while on the move for more than just voice calls.
The poll also suggested that passengers are increasingly making use of hi-tech ways of speeding up travel, such as using online and mobile phone check-in services.
"As business travel continues to rise, so too does the need for technological advancements designed to save travellers' time and money," commented Denise Leleux, director of commercial cards at Barclaycard Business.
Last year, a survey conducted by the International Air Transport Association revealed that almost nine in ten flyers prefer
e-tickets to paper versions, while 56 per cent had used web check-in before.
