Passengers are largely satisfied with the train services connecting central
London with
Gatwick Airport and
Heathrow Airport, according to a new report.
The spring 2008 National Passenger Survey from rail watchdog Passenger Focus found that Gatwick Express and Heathrow Express achieved satisfaction ratings of 93 per cent and 92 per cent respectively.
Gatwick Express has now achieved the highest rating in the Passenger Focus satisfaction survey for six years.
People flying from Gatwick Airport can reach the gateway via a connection provided by Gatwick Express from Victoria station, which operates every 15 minutes.
Heathrow Express provides services from Paddington station to all five of the London hub's terminals.
There were some passenger concerns identified in the Passenger Focus survey, chief among which was value for money, with more than half of the 25,000 respondents saying this was their primary concern.
