Dubai hotel group picks up travel awards
Dubai-based hospitality group Jumeirah has had a number of its properties recognised in the 2008 Conde Nast readers' travel awards.
Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai was voted the fourth best overseas business hotel worldwide, while the Madinat Jumeirah was voted tenth in the same category.
The best business hotel in the UK award went to the Jumeirah Carlton Tower owing to its convenient location in the centre of London and the range of services it offers to corporate guests.
Guy Crawford, Jumeirah's chief executive officer, said: "As a young and rapidly expanding international luxury hospitality company, Jumeirah is proud to have been awarded this array of prestigious titles by Conde Nast's distinctive readers.
"Our presence at these awards truly demonstrates our continued commitment to 'stay different' and we would like to thank readers for their support and recognition, and our colleagues for their continued hard work and dedication to surpass guest expectations."
Dubai and the United Arab Emirates as a whole is famous for its hotels, the best known of which is the Burj al Arab, the tallest building in the world used exclusively as a hotel.
