American Airlines has announced that it will soon be rolling out its PriorityAAccess scheme, which will offer privileges to the carrier's premium customers.
Passengers including AAdvantage elite status members, first class customers and
business travellers will be among those offered a number of benefits designed to make the airport and travel experience easier.
The enhancements will include priority check-in services, dedicated security screening lanes at airports including
Los Angeles International and
New York JFK, and exclusive boarding areas at gates.
Mark Mitchell, the airline's managing director of customer experience, said: "American Airlines greatly appreciates the loyalty of our customers and we have been working hard to deliver the product features and recognition we know they value and deserve.
"PriorityAAccess benefits provide a differentiated experience for our top customers at the ticket counter, at security checkpoints and at the gate."
The scheme will be introduced on September 30th and is set to be fully implemented by the end of October.
American Airlines, which is based at
Dallas-Fort Worth Airport in Texas, claims to be the world's largest carrier, serving 250 cities in 40 countries with more than 4,000 daily flights.
