Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa begin cooperation
As part of the process of its admission to the Star Alliance network, Brussels Airlines has stepped up its cooperation with Lufthansa.
Passengers with the airlines now have access to both of their lounges, while Platinum members of Brussels Airlines' frequent flyer programme will be able to use Lufthansa's Senator and business class lounges.
HON Circle members of Lufthansa's Miles and More scheme, as well as first class passengers, can access the Belgian airline's lounge in Brussels.
Travellers also have the option for their baggage to be checked through to their final destination on flights operated by both airlines.
Future developments in the cooperation will enable travellers to combine the carriers' fares on cross-border flights and make use of codeshare services across large sections of their networks.
Brussels Airlines' inclusion in the Star Alliance network will see it join a group that also includes bmi, Swiss, Singapore Airlines, US Airways and others.
