Oman Air has unveiled the new
business class seat that will be installed on its Airbus A330 aircraft being delivered later this year.
The
Muscat-based airline showcased the new seat at the ITB Berlin travel show as one of a number of investments it is making in its products and services.
Peter Hill, chief executive of Oman Air, said the business class offering provides a "combination of comfort, space, design and technology".
The carrier also confirmed that its new Airbus planes will feature laptop and mobile phone connectivity, an
inflight entertainment system and internet access for all passengers.
Barry Brown, Oman Air's vice president of commercial operations, said: "Not only have we raised the bar in our premium cabins, a great deal of attention has been directed to the economy cabin.
"Passenger comfort has been addressed by providing 34-inch pitch seating with three phase leg-rest positions and a four-way adjustable headrest. Each seat is complemented with 10.6-inch seat-back video screens."
The airline announced earlier this month that it will be expanding its international network later in the year with new flights from
Muscat to
Frankfurt,
Paris,
Colombo and
Male.
